About the Role
This position serves as a vital hub within the laboratory, bridging clinical operations with patient care. As a Lab Assistant Supervisor, you will perform core laboratory procedures—including phlebotomy, client processing, and service functions—while overseeing staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care are met. You will act as a leader of self, others, and leaders, embodying the OneCHRISTUS competencies in every interaction.
Your day involves managing the flow of specimens from collection to analysis. You will monitor the collection area to ensure timely processing, assist phlebotomists when needed, and handle complex inquiries from physicians, nursing personnel, and patients. Beyond technical duties, you will manage inventory, maintain laboratory records, and ensure strict adherence to safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols. This role requires a flexible schedule, as you will be expected to rotate shifts to support the hospital's continuous operations.
