Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a county-designated trauma center. Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrioritize and perform clinical laboratory tests on various biological specimens
- check_circleTrain and supervise laboratory assistants and clerks as needed
- check_circleDispose of contaminated materials and maintain a clean work area
- check_circleEvaluate test result validity and correlate findings with patient diagnoses
- check_circlePerform specimen collection, labeling, handling, and storage procedures
- check_circleMaintain equipment, troubleshoot instruments, and perform calibration
- check_circleReview, evaluate, document, and report test results to clinicians
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent
- verifiedValid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment or equivalent specialty or subspecialty license
- verifiedClinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Public Health Microbiologist (PHM) certification
- verifiedCurrent certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA) preferred
- verifiedE-Verify participation acknowledgment
