We are seeking a dedicated Kindergarten-Spanish Language Arts Teacher to join our team in USD 259. In this role, you will facilitate learning and maintain academic progress for students in grades K-5, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and disciplined classroom environment. You will work closely with parents, students, and colleagues to implement classroom education that meets the diverse needs of every learner.

Your day will involve delivering direct instruction using current best practices and creating effective lesson plans that guide daily learning. You will establish clear objectives for lessons and projects, communicating these goals to students and parents. A significant part of your role involves collaborating with staff, including Special Education and ESOL teachers, to ensure appropriate modifications are implemented for all students.
You will also be responsible for administering assessments, recording results, and maintaining open lines of communication with parents and guardians through periodic meetings. Beyond the classroom, you will supervise common areas to support school goals, participate in faculty meetings and professional development workshops, and ensure compliance with district policies and regulations. You will utilize tools such as SMART boards, iPads, and student information systems to enhance the learning experience.
Candidates must possess a current Kansas State teaching license in Elementary Education (K-9, K-6, or Early Childhood Unified) and a Bachelor's Degree.
