About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to manage our Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Accounts Payable (A/P) processes while supporting the broader accounting department. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and possesses a unique understanding of federal government contracting.
You will work within the Finance department, which manages multiple entities (currently eight). The position requires a blend of technical precision and strategic foresight, from identifying cash needs prior to payments to ensuring strict compliance with government regulations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system and acting as a bridge between our internal teams and government contract personnel.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEnsure compliance with WAWF requirements and federal government regulations
- check_circleCreate customer bills and ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable
- check_circleOversee the accounts payable process including invoice approval and payment processing
- check_circleIdentify cash needs prior to paying accounts payable and forecast cash requirements
- check_circlePrepare government invoices and submit them into the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system
- check_circleSave copies of invoices within the General Ledger system and network storage drives
- check_circleTrack invoice status in WAWF and resubmit after resolving rejections
- check_circleFollow up on collection of aged accounts receivable and provide bi-weekly status summaries
- check_circleProcess payments via ACH and manual checks while reconciling vendor statements
Requirements
- verifiedAssociates degree in Accounting
- verified3 years of billing, A/R, or A/P experience
- verifiedProficiency in accounting software
- verifiedProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have
Exposure to the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). Experience with government contracting. Familiarity with federal government regulations and compliance requirements. Experience working with multiple entities.
