Janitorial Technician (Healthcare)

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, the Janitorial Technician (Healthcare) plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout the facility. This position directly supports patient care by ensuring all clinical and non-clinical areas meet established cleanliness and safety standards. The role is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

What You Will Do

Your day will involve a dynamic mix of cleaning, sanitation, and linen services across various departments, including patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, the emergency department, imaging areas, laboratories, offices, and public restrooms. You will be responsible for collecting dirty laundry, distributing clean linens, and ensuring on-campus housing areas are properly maintained.

You will clean and sanitize assigned areas according to strict guidelines, wipe down equipment with appropriate disinfectants, and manage inventory for supplies like paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer. Additionally, you will perform daily inventory checks, inspect equipment for safety issues, and ensure all cleaning carts and chemicals are properly secured.
