As a member of the Employee Relations Investigations & Policy team, you will serve as a role model for General Motors by supporting the delivery of high-performance services with unwavering integrity. The team's objective is to provide timely, best-in-class services in a collaborative manner while protecting GM's high standards of HR, legal, ethical, and financial integrity. We play a key role in reinforcing GM's "Speak Up" culture by ensuring safe, fair, and consistent handling of concerns raised through internal reporting channels.

The Employee Relations Investigator is responsible for performing impartial, fact-based investigations of suspected misconduct and policy violations, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, bullying, and violations of the "Winning with Integrity" policy. You will own the end-to-end investigation process, from planning and fact-finding to analysis and report writing.
In this role, you will partner closely with HR Policy, Compliance & Special Investigations leadership, Labor Relations, Legal, and other stakeholders. Your goal is to drive timely, fair, consistent, and balanced outcomes that align with GM values, policies, and applicable laws. You will work in a dynamic environment that requires managing multiple complex investigations concurrently while maintaining the highest quality standards and confidentiality.

This role is based remotely. However, if you live within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Mountain View, or Warren, you are expected to report to that location a minimum of three times a week. This position is not eligible for relocation benefits; any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Knowledge and understanding of the automotive industry environment and business needs. Experience working with represented/hourly workforces (UAW or similar union environment).
