About the Role
The Interventional Radiology Technologist at Avera McKennan Hospital plays a vital role in performing specialized procedures using sterile techniques and advanced equipment. This position is designed for professionals who possess the critical thinking skills to interpret complex clinical subject matter and anticipate the needs of physicians during intricate exams.
In this role, you will partner with nursing staff, scrub techs, and students to oversee and coordinate the workflow of diagnostic and intervention procedures. Your day-to-day involves scheduling procedures, preparing and positioning patients, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal outcomes. You will be responsible for producing high-quality digital or hard film images for radiologist interpretation while monitoring hemodynamics and maintaining a sterile environment. Beyond technical execution, you will demonstrate high-level patient care skills, assisting nursing staff with critically ill patients and ensuring compliance with safety principles and accreditation standards.
