About the Role

American Credit Acceptance is seeking a highly organized Legal Operations Intern to join our Legal Department during Summer 2026. As an intern focusing on commercial agreements, you will be at the heart of how our business operates. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the review, drafting, and refinement of contracts and commercial terms that shape our partnerships and internal processes.

You will work in a collaborative corporate setting, gaining hands-on experience with real negotiations and actual contracts rather than hypothetical case studies. The position is designed for those who enjoy commercial transactions, contract law, legal operations, and process improvement. You will have the chance to contribute ideas that improve how we manage and execute agreements while receiving direct mentorship from experienced in-house counsel invested in your growth.

Day in the Life

Your work will involve assisting in the creation of a Center of Excellence for contract terms and best practices within a template library. You will maintain and organize our contract management system to ensure documents are up-to-date and accessible. Additionally, you will conduct legal and regulatory research on financial services matters, providing summaries and reports to legal leadership. The role requires collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather information and clarify contract terms, as well as participating in team meetings to drive process improvement initiatives for contract workflows.

Hiring Process

To apply, please submit your resume and relevant materials through our career portal. Selected candidates will be contacted for further steps in the interview process.

Equal Opportunity Employer

American Credit Acceptance provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Privacy Notice

As an employer of California residents, we are dedicated to protecting your privacy rights. Any personal information you provide during the application process will be used solely for permitted internal purposes and will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws. By applying to this position, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in our Employee Privacy Notice.
