As an Intelligence and Threat Assessment Investigator, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and managing potential threats to the safety and security of the Emory enterprise. Your work involves conducting comprehensive investigations into concerning behaviors, threat reports, and incidents involving students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
In this position, you will gather and analyze information from multiple sources, including open-source intelligence, to evaluate the level of risk posed by individuals or situations. You will utilize recognized threat assessment frameworks to guide evaluations and prepare detailed reports documenting findings, risk levels, and recommended interventions. Your day-to-day activities will include collaborating closely with the Emory Police Department, Emory Healthcare Public Safety, campus partners, mental health professionals, and legal counsel to mitigate risks and ensure timely intervention. You will also participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to review cases and assist in the development of university threat assessment protocols and emergency response plans.
This position requires tasks to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option. The role involves occasional exposure to high-stress or emergency situations, requiring the ability to maintain professionalism and discretion in sensitive environments.
