About the Role
A global insurer is seeking a specialized Trucking Insurance Underwriter to join its Commercial Lines Program in Cleveland, OH. This role focuses on the Specialty Program and Excess Surplus lines, offering the flexibility of remote work from home. The position is designed for professionals who can navigate the complexities of the trucking and transportation sector, including inland marine coverage.
In this capacity, you will serve as a critical analyst for the underwriting team. Your day-to-day involves reviewing and analyzing underwriting documents to make informed decisions on approving or rejecting applications. You will identify and mitigate changes in exposure to risk, oversee compliance with loss mitigation actions, and determine appropriate account premium levels. Additionally, you will interpret contracts and policies to clarify exposures and provide strategic advice to the Claims department regarding coverage issues.
