About the Role
Our client, a well-established and growing insurance organization, is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Compliance Coordinator to join their remote operations team. This role is critical for supporting certificate of insurance (COI) processing, contractual compliance review, and commercial lines servicing functions across a diverse commercial portfolio.
The ideal candidate brings extensive knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, contractual risk transfer requirements, ACORD documentation, and compliance workflows. This position is designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work independently, and is comfortable collaborating with internal teams, carriers, clients, and third parties. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleReview client contracts and agreements to identify insurance requirements and compliance obligations
- check_circleTrack certificate renewals, expirations, and outstanding compliance items
- check_circleVerify policy coverage and endorsements against contractual insurance requirements
- check_circleProcess and maintain ACORD forms and related compliance documentation
- check_circleEnsure compliance with carrier guidelines, contractual obligations, and industry regulations
- check_circleMaintain and manage compliance data through agency management systems and Excel
- check_circlePartner with Account Managers and carriers to resolve discrepancies and secure documentation
- check_circleMaintain organized electronic records and audit-ready files
- check_circleIdentify opportunities to improve operational workflows and processing efficiency
- check_circleIssue and manage Certificates of Insurance, endorsements, and supporting documentation
- check_circleInterpret insurance policy language and communicate coverage details to stakeholders
Requirements
- verifiedActive New York State Property & Casualty License
- verifiedHigh school diploma or GED
- verified8+ years of commercial insurance experience
- verifiedExperience with agency management systems (Applied Epic, CSR24)
- verifiedAdvanced understanding of contractual risk transfer wording
- verifiedExperience reviewing insurance requirements for commercial leases and contracts
Nice to Have
Experience supporting construction, real estate, manufacturing, or contractor-focused accounts. Prior experience working within a fully remote insurance operations environment. Knowledge of ACORD 855 (Construction Addendum) and New York Labor Law / Action-Over exposure.
