The Accounting Manager serves as a key leader within the Office of Financial Affairs, supervising the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing functions. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of the university's financial operations, managing the closing process, and upholding a robust system of internal controls. The position ensures that assets are safeguarded, billings and collections are accurate, and all financial reporting complies with US GAAP, university policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Beyond technical accounting duties, this role is deeply rooted in the university's mission. The successful candidate will actively support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the institution, upholding Ex Corde Ecclesiae and fostering a culture of "ready and earnest hospitality" in the office and across the university, in accord with Saint Benedict's admonition that "all be received as Christ."
