About the Opportunity
A global insurer is seeking a specialized Trucking Insurance Underwriter to join its Commercial Lines Program in Milwaukee, WI. This role is part of a dedicated Specialty Program focused on the trucking and transportation sector, including inland marine coverage. While the position is based in Milwaukee, remote work from home is possible.
The Role
As an Underwriter, you will serve as a key decision-maker for complex commercial auto accounts. Your primary mission is to review and analyze underwriting documents to approve or reject applications while identifying and minimizing the impact of changes in risk exposure. You will evaluate account premium levels, interpret contracts and policies to determine specific exposures, and oversee compliance with recommended loss mitigation actions. Additionally, you will act as a strategic advisor to the Claims department regarding coverage issues.
