About the Role
We are seeking an Insurance Underwriter to join our Specialty Program team, focusing on the complex and high-growth sector of franchise automobile, truck, boat, and dealership open lot risks. This position is designed for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial lines including property, casualty, excess surplus, and reinsurance.
In this role, you will be the guardian of profitability for franchised new car dealerships and related commercial entities. Your day-to-day involves reviewing new and renewal applications for trucking and dealership insurance, assessing complex risks, and calculating potential losses. You will define the terms and conditions of coverage, establish premium rates, and ensure comprehensive protection for clients against risks such as comprehensive and collision, false pretense, economic loss, weather reimbursement, and spot delivery coverage.
