We are seeking an experienced Producing Underwriter to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you will proactively build new agent partnerships and drive specialty program business across a diverse range of commercial lines, including franchise auto dealerships, motorcycle, truck, RV, and ATV dealers, as well as open lot and garagekeepers coverage.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for agents, managing relationships with retail producers and resolving policyholder issues. Your day-to-day involves reviewing renewal policies and new business for eligibility, analyzing complex risks exceeding reinsurance treaty capacity, and placing facultative reinsurance when necessary. You will also actively plan and participate in industry events to expand our network and monitor underwriting results to track production performance for the region.
