The Insurance Representative is a sales-driven position focused on writing new quality business and conserving existing relationships. While the primary aspect of the role is selling, all other functions, particularly policy owner services, serve as opportunities to increase sales activity. Representatives are expected to provide ongoing quality service to policy owners in accordance with the Insurance Representative's Agreement while maintaining a program of continuous self-improvement.
Reporting directly to a Managing Representative, Associate Director, or Managing Director, you will be responsible for meeting weekly and annual objectives agreed upon with your immediate supervisor. These goals include metrics such as submitted life & health applications, placements, annualized controllable increase, Personal Financial Planning (PFP) sales interviews, Quality Life Check-ups (QLCs), and persistency rates. To achieve these targets, you will create, develop, and implement action plans consistent with both company and personal objectives.
Success in this role requires the ability to work without close supervision and a willingness to work evening hours and weekends. You will establish annual individualized objectives on your Marketing Plan and participate in regular Action Planning Conferences (APC) with your direct supervisor to review activity, sales, service, and training goals. Ultimately, your performance is expected to result in net premium growth for the agency to which you are assigned.
We are looking for individuals who establish high goals and expectations. You must be able to persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency. This role demands a commitment to long hours and the willingness to make personal sacrifices to reach goals. Throughout your tenure, you are expected to conduct yourself and communicate in a professional manner.
