JT4, LLC provides critical engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). As an Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will serve as a leader within a development, sustainment, or operations and maintenance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of high-stakes programs, including providing crucial mechanical design support for the Global Power Bomber. You will coordinate engineering technicians to tackle complex assignments, independently managing design, development, analysis, and review tasks under strict project deadlines.
Your day-to-day involves resolving technical problems through standard practices like tolerance studies and design calculations, while generating complete sections of design specifications for complex projects. You will act as a liaison for design reviews and technical working group meetings, ensuring all requirements and specifications are met. Additionally, you will conduct research using computer-assisted test methods and prepare technical presentations for in-process design reviews. This position requires the ability to work in a field environment, encompassing shift work, overtime, and travel to remote locations where you may face various weather conditions and noise levels.
This position is part of a Federal Government Contract that requires U.S. citizenship. Candidates must be eligible for and maintain a government security clearance, including the ability to obtain special access. A valid, current state driver's license is also required.
