The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department at the University of Hawai‘i, Kapi‘olani Community College, is dedicated to training the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are seeking a dedicated EMS Instructor to coordinate and deliver instruction that aligns with student learning outcomes. This role is designed to evolve how emergency medical education is delivered, integrating thinking and writing skills while utilizing multi-media resources to address the unique needs of our diverse student body. The position offers a dynamic day-to-day experience, ranging from preparing course syllabi and holding office hours to teaching evening, weekend, and distance education classes. Instructors may also travel to off-campus sites, including the neighbor islands, to ensure broad access to quality EMS training. Beyond the classroom, the role involves engaging in public service and professional development to maintain expertise in the rapidly evolving field of emergency medicine.
