Atlantic Health System, through Atlantic Mobile Health, is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician Instructor to join the Atlantic Training Center. This full-time position is dedicated to shaping the next generation of first responders by delivering high-quality education across EMT initial training, refresher courses, and continuing education programs.
The role exists to ensure the community and region are served by competent, confident EMTs. As an instructor, you will be the bridge between clinical expertise and educational delivery, adapting your teaching style to meet diverse student learning needs. Your work directly contributes to a culture of collaboration and accountability, ultimately improving patient outcomes throughout the service area.
You will lead instruction for various EMT courses, ensuring all student paperwork is complete and compliant with New Jersey Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) requirements. Your day involves administering and grading assignments and examinations with timeliness and fairness, while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding student progress.
Beyond the classroom, you will be responsible for the security and maintenance of training center equipment, assisting with cleaning and restocking after each class. You will also represent Atlantic Training Center professionally at off-site course locations within the communities served by Atlantic Health System, adhering to all organizational policies and educational philosophies.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to demonstrate effective teaching skills and a professional demeanor. The position requires a valid driver's license with an unrestricted driving record, as travel to off-site locations is a key component of the job.
