As a Field Technician at Spectrum, you will be on the front lines, installing and repairing services while educating customers on their use. This entry-level role is designed for those who enjoy solving technical challenges in a dynamic environment. No two days are the same in the field; you will stay active, work outdoors, and solve problems while building meaningful relationships with colleagues and customers.
We equip you with the training you need to succeed, including on-the-job training, a Broadband Apprenticeship Program, and the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized certification. You will receive support to build your confidence and skills to solve complex technical issues. Through our career self-progression plan, you can move from Field Technician I to Field Technician IV, with opportunities to earn 10% increases for each progression level and bonus payments for completing coursework. Additional opportunities exist to move into other roles, including leadership positions.
Field Technicians work outdoors, utilizing hand tools in a variety of environments. You will travel to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities, and other locations as necessary, including during inclement weather. The role involves walking over various terrains, carrying tools and equipment, and safely using weight-bearing equipment. You will operate and navigate a company vehicle in changing environments and work with small components and wires.
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.
