As a Mission-Essential role, this position must remain uninterrupted during emergencies and mobilization, directly supporting the installation's ability to function effectively under all conditions. The role is designated as a Category 4 Key Position, meaning it cannot be vacated during a national emergency without seriously impairing the parent agency's capability.

Your mission is to establish, define, and implement requirements that align flight activities with broader organizational goals and mission requirements. This involves overseeing asset management processes, integrating enterprise-wide investment decisions for built and natural assets, and managing housing asset accountability. You will apply DoD concepts, policies, and the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System (PPBS) to drive program management and resource allocation. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring, motivating, and appraising staff while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and EEO regulations.
This is a competitive federal position subject to specific eligibility requirements. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, and males must be registered for the Selective Service. Selected candidates will be required to serve a probationary or trial period (1 or 2 years) and must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. The position is also designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program, requiring initial and periodic drug testing.
