About the Role

This position is dedicated to ensuring properties meet the federal and local housing quality standards required for eligibility in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. You will conduct initial move-in, annual occupied, and special inspections, exercising independent judgment in the field to determine compliance with HUD Housing Quality Standards, local building codes, and zoning ordinances.

In this role, you will assess damages, determine responsibility for corrections, and establish deadlines for necessary work. A key part of your day involves documenting inspection efforts, completing detailed reports, and conducting follow-up inspections to verify that properties achieve compliance. You will also serve as a vital link in the enforcement process by testifying and presenting evidence in administrative hearings and court proceedings. Success in this role requires superior customer service, integrity, and a commitment to innovation and efficiency.
