The Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) position supports a national security-focused customer by providing system security engineering services to ensure the secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of customer-developed and deployed systems and networks. You will partner with the Government to ensure core security engineering principles are implemented into assigned programs' information system architectures.
In this role, you will provide lifecycle cybersecurity support for US Navy systems. Your day-to-day will involve analyzing and evaluating systems to design, implement, test, and field secure networks and architectures. You will maintain the program's technological infrastructure, conduct regular security audits, and ensure systems remain compliant with NIST, DoD, and Navy security requirements, including NIST 800-53 controls and DISA STIGs. You will also develop and enforce information systems security policies, conduct certification and testing in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and resolve conflicting system security engineering requirements.
This is a long-term contract position based on-site at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The role requires an on-site workload at the Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) for at least 50% of the time, with travel required at least 10% of the time.
