About the Role
We are seeking Industrial Painters for our facilities in Cullman, AL, and Falkville. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining painting equipment and overhead cranes to meet site business goals. Your work involves a hands-on approach to applying protective finishes, mixing coatings according to specific formulas, and regulating equipment to ensure high-quality results.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a mix of technical operation and physical activity. You will weigh and measure chemicals, mix substances to create specific finishes, and operate machines to paint or coat products with rustproofing materials. A significant portion of your time will be spent adjusting equipment controls, connecting supply lines, and using overhead cranes to move products between work areas. You will also be responsible for general housekeeping, marking parts for identification, and notifying maintenance of any equipment needs.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in varying climate conditions, including heat and cold. The role is physically demanding, requiring you to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently and spend most of the workday standing and walking. Additionally, candidates must be able to pass an annual respiratory fit test and pulmonary function report.
