About the Role
Do you have a spark for tinkering with electrical and mechanical components? We have an opening in our state-of-the-art facility for an Industrial Electrician in Cary, NC. This is an overnight shift position from 6 pm to 6 am, operating on a 2-2-3 12-hour schedule with every other weekend off.
In this role, you will alternate between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair. You will need a firm focus and understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), applying creativity to solutions while maintaining clear documentation. You will identify and examine production equipment failures to understand root causes, interpreting schematics and drawings to investigate and repair electrical and mechanical systems such as pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, and conveyors. Additionally, you will seek ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings while maintaining an open dialogue with leads and supervisors regarding day-to-day activities.
