About Nuwell Management Network

Nuwell Management Network is a Michigan-based Management Services Organization (MSO) serving as the strategic backbone for healthcare and community-based ventures. Our mission is to improve access, equity, and outcomes for underserved populations by providing operational support, growth strategy, and policy alignment to health-focused entities across our network.

We operate at the intersection of healthcare delivery, investment, and systems-level change. We are building an ecosystem that requires serious influence, alignment, and advocacy to drive meaningful progress. As we expand our reach, we are looking for a politically-savvy, action-oriented leader to help take this work further, starting with Michigan.

About the Role

This position is designed for a senior-level, well-connected In-House Lobbyist who will play a pivotal role in shaping public policy and securing the resources necessary for our network to thrive. You will serve as the primary advocate for our mission, aligning with Medicaid and Managed Care Organization (MCO) objectives to secure access to federal and state funding.

In this role, you will build public-private pathways that allow our healthcare partners to grow. A major focus will be moving lives and members to our healthcare entities by advocating for contracts, abatements, pilot programs, and policy structures that support innovation and access. You will navigate complex regulatory environments to ensure our network's priorities are advanced, acting as a visible representative in public forums, hearings, and stakeholder discussions related to healthcare reform and Medicaid transformation.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will undergo a rigorous vetting process designed to assess both political acumen and strategic fit. The process typically includes:

  1. Initial Screening: A review of your track record in Michigan politics and healthcare policy.
  2. Executive Interview: A deep-dive conversation with the Executive Director to discuss strategic vision and network goals.
  3. Stakeholder Alignment: A discussion with the Board of Directors to ensure alignment with our mission of expanding equity and access.
  4. Offer: Selection of the candidate who best demonstrates the ability to deliver measurable results and influence key decision-makers.

Our Culture & Commitment

Nuwell Management Network is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve. We believe that expanding equity and access through healthcare innovation and investment requires a team with varied perspectives and lived experiences. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Join us in creating a future where healthcare is accessible to all.
