About the Role

The Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Sales Consultant is responsible for implementing Boehringer Ingelheim's ILD sales and marketing plans to assure maximum distribution and market penetration of our products within company guidelines. This role is designed to build deep, trusted relationships with key ILD Clinics and targeted healthcare professionals, including Pulmonologists, Rheumatologists, Radiologists, Advanced Practice Clinicians, and Allied Healthcare Professionals.

In this position, you will manage a specific geography that may require overnight travel and occasional evening or weekend meetings. You will engage in sales activities across teaching and community hospitals, as well as federal and military facilities. The role involves translating complex scientific information into value-driven conversations, fostering network development, and collaborating with internal teams to address territory business needs. Success in this role requires a commitment to ethical business practices and a focus on providing solutions-based interactions that enhance patient management and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleImplement ILD sales and marketing plans to ensure maximum product distribution and market penetration

  • check_circleUtilize sales data and analysis to plan activities, monitor literature use, and maintain accurate HCP records
  • check_circleManage speaker programs and budgets to maximize regional and national sales and marketing initiatives
  • check_circleEnsure all business activities comply with FDA, PhRMA, and other applicable regulations and company policies
  • check_circleDevelop and execute pre-call plans to meet the specific needs of ILD healthcare professionals and accounts
  • check_circleConduct sales activities with key ILD clinics and targeted healthcare professionals including pulmonologists and rheumatologists
  • check_circleIdentify and develop regional and national thought leaders, innovators, and advocates to support product promotion
