The HVAC Tradesman is the backbone of Villara's installation operations, performing hands-on work to bring heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to life in single-family residences, townhomes, apartments, and condominiums. This role exists to ensure every installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to Villara's rigorous quality standards while adhering to all building codes.
You will work cooperatively with Villara Management, Site Superintendents, and other trades to meet daily schedules and bid times. The position requires a blend of technical precision and leadership, as you will support the Tradesman and Foreman while actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Your day begins with a team huddle to assign tasks and align on goals. You will navigate job sites that may be loud, dusty, or subject to extreme temperatures, utilizing blueprints and layouts to guide your installation work. Efficiency is key; you will manage materials and tools to minimize waste and ensure projects stay on track.
Beyond installation, you play a vital role in team development. You will lead by example, conducting "hands-on" training for new and existing employees on equipment like Sawzalls and blueprint reading. You are expected to maintain organized job sites following Lean principles (5S), participate in safety tailgates, and document performance conversations when necessary. Whether coordinating with other trades or ensuring breaks are taken at appropriate times, your focus remains on delivering quality work and fostering a positive, engaged team environment.
