About the Role
Located at our Canton, OH facility, this Journeyman Service Technician position is designed for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in the HVAC industry while driving career growth within the trades. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be the frontline expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Your day-to-day involves a blend of technical precision and customer collaboration. You will work with a wide array of equipment, including boilers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and hydronic systems. Beyond installation and routine repairs, you will analyze system data to ensure safe, efficient operation and provide clear, actionable recommendations to customers regarding their heating and cooling needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring equipment compliance with strict safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInstall and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including boilers and chillers
- check_circleMonitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot operating equipment and controls to ensure safe operation
- check_circleInspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications
- check_circleDetermine customer concerns and discuss HVAC system malfunctions to isolate problems
- check_circleRecord and report all faults, deficiencies, and time and materials expended on work orders
- check_circleTest pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks
- check_circleInstall, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers
- check_circleInstall auxiliary components like air ducts, pipes, blowers, and dampers following blueprints
- check_circlePerform preventive maintenance procedures such as cleaning, lubricating, and changing filters
- check_circleConnect pipes or tubing to equipment and fuel, water, or refrigerant sources
- check_circleAssemble, position, and mount heating or cooling equipment following blueprints
- check_circlePerform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, and other mechanical components
Requirements
