We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Specialist to support the Library's day-to-day HR operations. Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, you will be the operational backbone of our people functions, managing the recruitment lifecycle, maintaining employee records, assisting with benefits administration, and ensuring policy compliance across all Library departments.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day technical, operational, and administrative support to staff system-wide. Your work ensures accurate record-keeping, timely processing of HR transactions, and the consistent application of personnel policies. You will serve as a key point of contact for routine employee questions regarding policies and procedures, while also supporting staff recognition initiatives, wellness programs, and staff events.
This position will remain open until June 19, 2026. Employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a background investigation. Interested candidates should apply through the Library's official channels.
The majority of work is performed in a public building office environment. Hybrid work is eligible based on job duties and the needs of the Library. The role may require travel between Library locations, the ability to work and drive in adverse weather conditions, and occasional participation in evening or weekend events and trainings.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Two to three years of progressively responsible human resources experience. Public sector or nonprofit experience.
