About the Team

Pima County Human Resources is dedicated to fostering a "We A.R.E." (Accountable, Respectful, Ethical) culture. The team focuses on enhancing the employee experience by building and supporting initiatives that acknowledge contributions, milestones, and achievements in alignment with county values and policies.

About the Role

As a Human Resources Coordinator II, you will serve as a key partner in developing, implementing, and administering the Employee Recognition Program and Education Reimbursement Program. This role is designed to help build a positive workplace culture through consistent demonstration of respect, integrity, and inclusivity.

In this position, you will coordinate all aspects of employee recognition, including service awards, retirements, and special events. You will collaborate with various departments to identify outstanding performance and draft communications to promote these initiatives. Additionally, you will support the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program and Training and Development functions, ensuring that employee engagement activities are executed with precision and care.

Hiring Process

The first review of applications will take place on 05/29/2026. Pima County Human Resources reserves the right to admit only those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on listed education and experience, with further evaluation against preferred qualifications for those who qualify.

The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments or testing may be required as part of the selection process. Successful candidates will undergo a post-offer, pre-employment background screening, including verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history.
