As the Varsity Head Swim Coach, you will oversee the entire Swimming and Diving Program, serving as the primary leader for student-athletes both in and out of the pool. Your mission is to develop individual skills and team strategies while fostering an environment of discipline, sportsmanship, and moral growth. You will guide athletes toward realizing their potential through effective training programs, game management, and mentorship that builds self-confidence and pride of accomplishment.
Your day involves managing all aspects of the program, from organizing tryouts and practices to strategizing for games. You will instruct athletes in fundamental skills and physical training, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and maintain high standards of conduct. Beyond the pool deck, you will model positive behavior, maintain accurate equipment inventory, and participate in school events such as Awards Nights and Athletic Boosters Meetings. You will also collaborate closely with the School Athletic Director and District Department to ensure compliance with all academic eligibility and administrative policies.
