About the Role

This one- to two-year position serves as an intensive training ground for future Campus Staff Ministers within the Greater North Texas Area. The Campus Ministry Associate will work under the guidance of a Staff Minister to learn and prepare for the full responsibilities of leading undergraduate ministry. The role is designed to immerse the associate in ministerial functions, spiritual growth, and the operational realities of campus ministry, with specific assignments tailored to the individual's skills and development needs.

The Mission

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship exists to advance the mission and purpose of Jesus Christ among college students. As an Associate, you will be an ambassador of this mission, engaging with students and faculty to proclaim the Gospel. You will help cast spiritual vision, foster strategic thinking within student chapters, and model a love for God's people of every ethnicity and culture. The role requires a deep commitment to daily spiritual disciplines and an ongoing call to ministry service.

Compensation and Funding

This position is uniquely funded through personal fundraising. Compensation is determined by the individual's ability to secure a donor team to cover the cost of the salary. While the anticipated full-time salary range is $35,088.00 to $46,776.00 per year, the actual amount received is subject to the successful raising of funds necessary to cover the full salary within that range, including any geographic adjustments for location and cost of living.

Benefits

Eligible employees receive a competitive benefits package, which may include health care, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, a 403(b) retirement savings plan with matching contributions, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, parental leave, and professional development assistance.

The Hiring Process

Candidates will be evaluated based on their application, which assesses their calling to InterVarsity, their alignment with the organization's doctrinal basis, and their potential for growth. A supervisory decision regarding the suitability of the individual for continuing employment with InterVarsity is made at the end of the term of service.

Equal Opportunity and Faith Commitment

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is an equal opportunity employer and a faith-based religious organization. We conduct hiring without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, age, sex, marital status, parental status, membership in any labor organization, political ideology, or disability. However, consistent with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 702, InterVarsity has the right to hire only candidates who agree with InterVarsity's Statement of Agreement: Purpose and Doctrinal Basis. This ensures that all staff share the same religious commitment vital to advancing the organization's mission.
