About the Role

As a Teacher, you will serve as a vital partner in student development, providing appropriate learning activities and experiences in your assigned core academic subject areas. This role exists to foster a classroom environment conducive to learning that supports the diverse needs of all students, including those in gifted and talented, bilingual/ESL, and special education programs.

In this position, you will not only deliver instruction aligned with Texas Education Agency guidelines and district policies but also actively integrate technology to enhance the teaching and learning process. You will collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, and families to modify curricula and implement instructional strategies that reflect individual student needs. Beyond the classroom, you will serve as a positive role model, managing student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and potentially sponsoring extracurricular activities to further enrich the school community.

Hiring Process

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate for the assigned subject or level. Elementary teachers are required to complete the Texas Reading Academy. The district seeks individuals with at least one year of student teaching or approved internship experience, along with demonstrated competency in curriculum and instruction.
