About the Role
This position is dedicated to providing specialized dyslexia intervention and conducting comprehensive assessments for identified students. The role serves as a critical bridge between student needs and the broader educational support system, requiring close collaboration with campus staff, district special education teams, and parents or guardians.
Success in this role involves delivering an evidence-based dyslexia program with fidelity while actively participating in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Section 504, and Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committees. The teacher is expected to co-develop student goals, maintain rigorous data collection on progress, and foster a classroom environment that supports the physical, social, and emotional development of students with dyslexia and related disorders.

Workplace Environment
This role requires the ability to maintain emotional control under stress. The physical environment involves frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and moving equipment. Teachers may be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities, assist non-ambulatory students, and, when necessary, control behavior through physical restraint in accordance with safety protocols. The workspace may also expose staff to biological hazards.
Leadership Opportunities
