HR Generalist

About the Role

This is an onsite HR Generalist position operating Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM, with flexibility required for a multiple-shift operation. Under general supervision, you will provide guidance and solutions on human resources operational issues, partnering with management to facilitate the delivery of HR services. Your primary mission is to ensure the organization's current HR requirements are met and that the HR strategy is implemented effectively. As a key contact for employees, you will answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.

You will serve as a liaison between Talent Acquisition and management during the recruitment and selection process, while also working with local managers to determine and support training needs. A significant part of your day involves assessing the internal employee climate, counseling managers to maintain a positive relations environment, and conducting exit interviews to provide actionable feedback. Additionally, you will represent the company at unemployment hearings, manage the leave of absence process in partnership with the corporate team, and assist with Worker's Compensation policies to ensure employees are returned to work as soon as possible.
