Everett Housing Authority (EHA) is a diverse, innovative public agency located in Everett, WA, just minutes from the waterfront. We are committed to more than just providing shelter; we believe our work extends to creating and fostering vibrant communities where the households we serve can thrive.
As a Housing Inspector, you will serve as a vital link between our agency, property owners, and residents. Under the direction of the Inspections Manager, you will ensure the safety and compliance of properties subsidized with rental assistance. Your work directly supports EHA's mission by enforcing compliance with EHA policy and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations.
In this role, you will conduct a variety of inspections—including initial, annual re-inspections, and complaint investigations—covering grounds, structures, and building systems. Beyond physical inspections, you will perform rent comparability analyses and determine utility allowances, requiring you to make independent judgments in the field and communicate complex findings effectively to diverse audiences, including those for whom English is not their first language.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. However, priority will be given to applications received by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Interested candidates should submit their application through the official EHA channels.
EHA is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals regardless of background.
