The City of Poulsbo Building Department is seeking an innovative and hands-on leader to serve as the Building Official. This role is designed for a team player who values the efficient delivery of building plan reviews, inspections, and system improvements. As the technical authority for building code compliance, you will lead and supervise the Building and Inspection Team, ensuring the safety and integrity of all new construction and alterations within the city.

Three (3) years of experience serving as a Certified Building Official (CBO). Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in construction, building inspection, plan review, or code enforcement, including experience as a Building Inspector, Plans Examiner, Senior Inspector, or a combination thereof. Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) Accredited Code Official (ACO) designation. Supporting certifications such as ICC Building Inspector, ICC Plans Examiner, and Mechanical / Plumbing / Electrical inspector certifications.
