The Pennant Group, Inc. is a holding company of independent operating subsidiaries providing healthcare services through home health, hospice agencies, and senior living communities throughout the US. We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our winning team in Greater Tucson and surrounding areas, dedicated to promoting comfort and quality of life for patients and their families.
The Hospice Aide serves as a vital paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary care team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role is designed to meet the personal needs of patients and promote their comfort during their journey. You will be responsible for observing patients, documenting care performed, and reporting significant changes to the Case Manager.
Your day will involve providing personalized care, including personal hygiene, dressing assistance, and nutritional support. You will also monitor vital signs, assist with mobility and exercises, and ensure the patient's living environment remains clean and orderly. A key part of this role is offering respite to patients and families while maintaining a calm, empathetic presence. You will not perform nursing tasks such as administering medications or sterile procedures, but rather act as an extension of the therapy and nursing team to support the patient's well-being.
To be considered for this position, candidates must be available Monday through Friday for a minimum of 32 hours per week. Reliable transportation is a mandatory requirement for this role, as you will be traveling to patient homes and community partners. Please ensure you have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
We look for individuals who are self-directing, possess strong organizational skills, and are comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill. Candidates must have a state-established training program completion, be at least 18 years old, and hold current CPR certification and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. Satisfactory references and the ability to follow written instructions are also required.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring a respectful environment for both our team members and the patients we serve.
