For more than 30 years, Maxim Healthcare has been making a difference in the lives of patients, caregivers, employees, and communities. We offer a comprehensive range of services including private duty nursing, skilled nursing, physical rehabilitation, companion care, respite care, and behavioral care for individuals with chronic and acute illnesses and disabilities. Our commitment to quality customer service, compassionate patient care, and filling critical healthcare needs makes us a trusted partner wherever care is needed.
We are hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) for the 5 Cities area to provide essential personal care services tailored to meet each patient's unique needs. In this role, you will serve as a vital extension of the care team, ensuring patients receive the support they need to maintain their dignity and well-being at home. Your day will involve assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, and feeding, all while strictly adhering to the patient's specific plan of care.
Beyond personal care, you will play a key role in monitoring patient health by taking and recording vital signs like temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered. You will also assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises or range-of-motion procedures. A significant part of your responsibility involves observing and documenting the patient's condition, recognizing emergency situations, and communicating clearly and effectively with the client, family, caregivers, and the office. You will also be responsible for teaching home safety practices and ensuring the safe use of equipment.
Joining Maxim means becoming part of a supportive team that values your contribution. We offer competitive pay with weekly paychecks, along with a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, an HSA, and PTO. We also provide a 401(k) savings plan and the Maxcares Awards Program to recognize your hard work.
To ensure the highest standard of care, all candidates must meet specific training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws. This includes possessing and maintaining current CPR certification, completing necessary medical screenings (such as PPD or chest x-ray if applicable), and successfully passing Maxim's screening examinations and competency program. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care accurately.
