The Hilo Driver Perishable position is a vital link in our warehouse operations, ensuring merchandise moves seamlessly from receiving areas to the customer's car door. This role exists to maintain the integrity of perishable goods through careful handling, accurate documentation, and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will be responsible for the physical movement of products, ensuring they are tagged, marked, and loaded correctly into trucks or trailers.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of operational tasks. You will count and inspect all inbound shipments for damage, infestation, and production dates before storage. As orders are processed, you will compare quantities, quality, and labeling against customer manifests to ensure accuracy. A significant portion of your time will be spent operating forklifts and other machinery to move, locate, and stack merchandise safely. You will also assist in physical inventories, maintain a clean and orderly work environment, and ensure the security of the warehouse.
Safety is paramount in this role. You are expected to comply with all safety, security, regulatory, and company policies while operating equipment and handling goods. This includes reporting any shortages, overages, or damages to the appropriate manager immediately and maintaining a work area that promotes safety for all team members.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
