Mercyhealth is a stable, physician-led, fully integrated 501(c)(3) non-profit health system serving Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. With seven hospitals, over 100 care centers, and more than 1,000 partnered providers, our mission is to deliver compassionate, quality care across 65+ communities. We are currently expanding our Oncology program to better serve the region's growing needs.

About the Role

We are seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Medical Oncologists to join our newly opened Cancer Institute, launching in May 2025. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and grow a comprehensive cancer program within a collaborative, team-focused environment.

You will practice on the campus of Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of Hematology, Radiation, and Medical Oncologists. Supported by Advanced Practice Providers, oncology nursing, social work, and dedicated leadership, you will have the chance to influence program development and grow patient volume. The role offers a dynamic day-to-day experience within a regional referral hub, leveraging an outstanding network of primary care providers.

The Hospital

You will practice at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside, a state-of-the-art tertiary care facility featuring an ACS-designated Level I Adult Trauma Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and advanced surgical suites with hybrid OR capabilities. The hospital provides comprehensive diagnostic services, inpatient dialysis, and specialized interventional laboratories for cardiac, vascular, and neurovascular care.
