We are currently expanding our Oncology program to better serve the region's growing needs.
We are seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Medical Oncologists to join our newly opened Cancer Institute, launching in May 2025. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and grow a comprehensive cancer program within a collaborative, team-focused environment.
You will practice on the campus of Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of Hematology, Radiation, and Medical Oncologists. Supported by Advanced Practice Providers, oncology nursing, social work, and dedicated leadership, you will have the chance to influence program development and grow patient volume. The role offers a dynamic day-to-day experience within a regional referral hub, leveraging an outstanding network of primary care providers.
Rockford, the third-largest city in Illinois, offers a diversified economy and a vibrant quality of life along the Rock River. The city is known for its automotive, aerospace, and healthcare industries, alongside active downtown revitalization efforts. Residents enjoy rich cultural and recreational highlights, including the Japanese Anderson Gardens, the Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden, the Burpee Museum of Natural History, and the extensive Rockford Park District.
You will practice at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside, a state-of-the-art tertiary care facility featuring an ACS-designated Level I Adult Trauma Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and advanced surgical suites with hybrid OR capabilities. The hospital provides comprehensive diagnostic services, inpatient dialysis, and specialized interventional laboratories for cardiac, vascular, and neurovascular care.
