Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. As the world's leading mission capability integrator and transformative enterprise IT provider, we deliver trusted, highly differentiated solutions and technologies to protect our nation and allies. We operate at the critical nexus between traditional and nontraditional threats across all domains: land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace.
Our employees serve as valued partners to essential government agencies and support every branch of the U.S. armed forces. Each day, our team solves the most daunting challenges that our customers face, ensuring people around the world remain safe and secure.
In this role, you will support USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users. The program delivers high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period, ensuring critical mission continuity.
As a Help Desk Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for resolving end-user incidents and service requests. Your day-to-day work involves acting as the POC for creating, responding to, and resolving issues across our support centers. You will coordinate incident reports and service request resolutions with personnel at various site locations, tracking issues from initiation to conclusion on behalf of the user.
You will utilize help desk center tools to troubleshoot and repair end-user devices, install and troubleshoot software, and re-image hardware. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to maintaining accounts, creating tokens, resetting CAC/Token pins, and managing local registration authority capabilities. You will also provide information and tracking on IT projects, ASIs, incidents, and changes that impact customers, ensuring that incidents are properly routed and escalated to the appropriate support groups or vendor staff.
The application period for this role is estimated to be 30 days from the posting date, though this timeline may be adjusted based on business needs and candidate availability. By applying, you express interest in both the role and the company.
During the review process, selected candidates may be required to participate in an on-camera interview and a process to verify their identity.
