About the Role
The Server-Lead at The Terraces of Phoenix plays a vital leadership role in our Health Center dining experience. Under general supervision, you will oversee the day-to-day work of the servers, ensuring a seamless flow of service for our residents. Your mission is to distribute and balance the workload among team members in accordance with established workflows, assuring timely accomplishment of assigned tasks while ensuring every team member has enough work to stay engaged.
In this position, you will serve as a bridge between the kitchen and the dining room. You will train newly hired servers, oversee host/hostess, bussers, and food runners, and maintain high standards for front-of-house and kitchen sanitation. You will be the face of our dining service, waiting on residents, taking orders, and explaining menu items in detail—including ingredients and cooking methods for our 20+ entrees. When challenges arise, you will handle guest complaints in a positive and professional manner, referring issues to supervisors as appropriate.
