About the Role

As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Analyst, you will support a wide variety of projects involving the design, funding, and measurement of the full spectrum of employer health and welfare benefit programs. This includes medical, dental, life, disability, and voluntary benefits. You will interface with client teams, contribute to analyses and client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met.

This role offers a significant opportunity to grow your health and benefits business acumen, as well as your financial, project management, and communication skills. You will work on cutting-edge projects alongside industry leaders, developing working proficiency in core financial, actuarial, and analytics theories, models, and tools.

  • check_circleSupport accurate claim reporting and financial modeling to guide client decisions
  • check_circleAssist with financial modeling of benefit plan designs, cost avoidance strategies, and budget projections
  • check_circlePartner with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams to deliver superior project management
  • check_circleCollaborate effectively on cross-functional teams to build strong internal relationships
  • check_circleDevelop financial analyses, outputs, and client deliverables for employer health and welfare benefit programs
  • check_circleExecute specific tasks contributing to financial and actuarial deliverables within stated deadlines

Requirements

  • verified1+ year work experience in professional services
  • verifiedBasic knowledge of health and welfare products & services
  • verifiedStrong data management, math and/or analytics capabilities
  • verifiedAbility to identify inconsistencies in data
  • verifiedProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • verifiedStrong written and verbal communication skills
  • verifiedExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • verifiedState Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
  • verifiedRelevant financial experience and/or university degree
  • verifiedProgress towards completion of health actuarial designation or CEBS designation (optional)
