This position serves as the operational backbone of the assigned unit, focusing on non-nursing functions to facilitate workflow and enhance productivity. The role is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff while promoting efficient unit function and indirect resident care.
You will manage clerical and reception duties, requisition supplies and equipment, and assist with scheduling. Additionally, you will observe telemetry monitors when indicated, promptly notifying patient caregivers of any changes. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth daily operations of the healthcare environment.
This is a part-time position (0.5 FTE) located at St Marys Hospital in Detroit Lakes. The role requires a mix of 8-hour shifts, alternating between 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and 4:30 PM–Midnight. The schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Candidates with experience or training in a hospital or clinic setting as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist are preferred. Please note that BLS certification is required; if not currently held, it must be obtained within three months of hire.
