About the Role
We are seeking experienced and motivated Health Tech (Opticians) to support operations within our Optical Shops at the North Little Rock, AR VA Clinic. This position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional service by coordinating optical operations and serving as a key liaison between VCS, eye clinic providers, and prosthetics teams. You will join a team committed to enhancing the experience for our Nation's Veterans, ensuring they receive accurate, high-quality eyewear solutions in a professional environment.
Hiring Process & Conditions of Employment

As a condition of employment, successful candidates will be required to serve a 1-year trial period. During this time, your fitness for the position and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated based on performance, conduct, and organizational needs. Employment will be terminated upon completion of this period unless you receive written certification that your continued service advances the public interest.
Additional conditions include:
- A current, valid REAL ID is required to work with the Veterans Canteen Service.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after December 31, 1959.
- Candidates are subject to a background and security investigation.
