This position serves as a critical bridge between the CDC and the public, providing advanced clinical inquiry responses to consumers, educators, and medical professionals. You will act as a subject matter expert on CDC topics, including HIV/AIDS, immunizations, environmental health, and NIOSH, while responding to inquiries stemming from current events like food outbreaks and natural disasters.
The role requires composing high-quality documents, reports, and correspondence, as well as performing advanced database searches to support accurate information dissemination. You will work independently to document all incoming inquiries and participate in special projects as needed, ensuring all work adheres to strict quality assurance measures.
This is a remote position requiring you to work from a private, secure area within the Continental US. You must provide your own personal device and internet connection, meeting specific technical standards including a minimum 25 Mbps download speed (50 Mbps for shared connections) and a minimum 5 Mbps upload speed. Connectivity must be established via a Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to your home router.
Your home office must include a personal computer or laptop (Chromebooks, tablets, and notebooks are not permitted) running Windows 10/11 or Mac OS Big Sur, Catalina, or Monterey. Additionally, you must have a smartphone for system login and a webcam for training and internal meetings.
