Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProcess medical record requests and release of information in a timely and accurate manner
- check_circleReceive and respond to inbound and outbound calls regarding patient record status
- check_circlePrepare new patient charts by gathering documents from paper and electronic sources
- check_circleEnsure medical records are assembled in standard order and are complete and accurate
- check_circleMaintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- check_circleDocument information in multiple platforms using dual computer monitors
- check_circleRespond to external and internal requests for patient records by retrieving and transmitting them
- check_circleAssist with administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry
- check_circleCreate digital images of paperwork for storage in the electronic medical record
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or GED
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- verifiedBasic computer proficiency
- verifiedStrong data entry skills
- verifiedProfessional verbal and written communication skills in English
- verifiedCompliance with HIPAA regulations
- verifiedWork authorization (not eligible for sponsorship)
Nice to Have
Experience in a healthcare environment. Previous production/metric-based work experience. In-person customer service experience. Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers. Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders.
