The Manager of Health Information Management serves as the operational leader for the HIM Department at Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI). This role is critical to maintaining an organized, efficient, and compliant health information environment across all CHI sites. The position ensures that patient data is managed with the highest standards of accuracy, security, and privacy, directly supporting the organization's commitment to quality care and regulatory excellence.
In this exempt position, you will oversee daily HIM activities, ensuring all departments remain clean, organized, and up to date with current requirements. You will act as a key liaison between HIM staff, the Privacy Officer, and other departments, fostering strong working relationships and clear communication. The role involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm of monitoring compliance, training staff on HIPAA and HIM protocols, and analyzing records to ensure completeness. You will also compile monthly statistics for the Joint Conference Report and assist in maintaining quality standards required by the Joint Commission.
